NBA draft: Analysts say Sixers made smart move in trading with Celtics for Matisse Thybulle

The Sixers weren't frightened away by the last time they exchanged with the Celtics for a NBA draft champion from Washington.

The group got Matisse Thybulle, a senior wing to a great extent viewed as the best border safeguard in the current year's draft. The Celtics took him for the Sixers with the No. 20 pick, and the Sixers sent them the No. 24 and No. 33 pick in return.

O'Connor contrasted Thybulle with Raptors shooting protect Danny Green, Nuggets combo monitor Gary Harris, and previous Grizzlies cautious plug Tony Allen saying he is a "Mammoth off-ball protector potential: He's both athletic and keen. He finishes off solid, modifies shots, and recuperates well after infiltration."

The Sixers exchanged away their initial two second-round picks, yet will be on the clock with the 54th pick and 57th.
